There is a ton of talent heading to the Big 12 this upcoming season. Let’s take a look at the Top 8 Transfers joining the conference for 2026 and where they land overall in our transfer portal rankings.

#1 Kole Klecker | Arizona State

After three strong seasons in Fort Worth, Kole Klecker is bringing experience on the mound to Arizona State. This past season Klecker appeared in 10 games with five starts, posting a 4.66 ERA and recording 20 strikeouts in just 19.1 innings. Klecker made a lot of noise in his first season at TCU back in 2023, earning Freshman All-American honors. He led the Horned Frogs with 17 starts and became the program's first freshman since 2014 to notch 10 wins. He also led the team with 96.2 innings pitched and 72 strikeouts, finishing the year with a solid 3.72 ERA. He dealt with an injury in 2025 but with his track record he can be a valuable addition to the Sun Devils' pitching staff as they head into 2026. Kole is ranked #54 in our transfer portal.

#2 Tanner Sagouspe | TCU

Tanner joins TCU with a strong track record and the kind of veteran presence that will immediately boost the Horned Frogs' bullpen.

In 2025, Sagouspe turned in another solid season posting a 3.60 ERA with over 25 appearances out of the bullpen and 50 strikeouts in 40 innings for Cal Poly. That followed a breakout 2024 campaign where he held a 3.23 ERA striking out 54 across 47.1 innings, pretty solid guy you want closing games for you if you ask me. He transitioned from two-way to full time closer in 2024, so I’m interested to see if he’ll continue that at TCU. He will be an experienced relief option who can thrive in high-leverage situations for the Horned Frogs in 2026. Tanner is ranked #55 overall amongst transfers for this upcoming season.

#3 Matthew Graveline | West Virginia

Matthew checks in at #75 in our transfer portal rankings. After three impactful seasons at Ohio State, he is set to make an immediate difference at West Virginia. As a rookie in 2023, he set the tone for a standout college career. That season, he led the Buckeyes in runs scored with 45 while batting .287 with 56 hits, including eight doubles, four home runs, and 35 RBI. By 2025, he had solidified his role as a key contributor, starting all 50 games and leading the team with 53 RBI. He also tied for the team lead in home runs with 10. He hit .282 with 55 hits, 11 doubles, and 39 runs scored this past season. Matthew’s proven ability to produce at the plate makes him a valuable addition to the Mountaineers and I’m excited to watch him mash in Morgantown this season.

#4 Luc Fladda | Arizona

Luc is transferring to Arizona after two seasons with Tulane. Prior to his time with the Green Wave he played at Oklahoma and two years at Johnson County CC. Last season he held a 6.69 ERA with 62 strikeouts across 76.2 innings pitched. He’s a solid lefty pitcher that saw a lot of action as Tulane’s Friday night guy in 2025. Luc will get the opportunity to work with new pitching coach John DeRouin, who is taking over for Kevin Vance. Vance was named the new head coach at San Diego State this summer. DeRouin was previously the director of pitching performance and strategy, he has helped develop elite pitchers for the Wildcats so I’m excited to see how he can help further Fladda’s development for 2026. He is ranked #78 overall amongst transfers.

#5 Jordan Bach | Kansas

Bach began his college baseball career at St. Xavier University in Chicago. After redshirting in 2022, he broke out in 2023 with a standout season at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M hitting .411. Over the past two seasons, Bach became a key contributor at Southern Illinois, making 117 starts while showcasing his adaptability across multiple positions. He split time between catcher and outfield, posting a .323 average with 11 home runs and 44 RBI. This summer in the Northwoods League with the Thunder Bay Border Cats, he hit .429 with 6 home runs and 32 RBI. Jordan picks up the #82 rank in our transfer portal.

#6 Dillon Schueler | Cincinnati

Dillon started his college career at Sauk Valley CC before transferring to UIC. Over his two seasons with the Flames he posted a 4.92 ERA. He punched out an impressive 97 batters across 135.1 innings pitched. His fastball will sit in the low-to-mid 90’s and he tunnels his offspeeds off of the fastball really well. On May 9th of this year he went 7 innings striking out 10 for the Flames. The weekend prior he carried no-hitter into the bottom of the seventh inning, so safe to say he is a solid option for a starting rotation role this season for the Bearcats. His experience on the mound and ability to go deep into games will be huge for the pitching staff in 2026. Dillion is ranked #85 amongst transfers this season.

#7 Carter Fink | Kansas

Fink is making his way to Kansas after a few stops at previous schools. His college career started at Snead State Community College and Cleveland State Community College. He transferred to ETSU where he held a 4.95 ERA, striking out 46 batters over 63.2 innings and split his time between the bullpen and starting rotation. After a solid 2024, he moved to the starting rotation full time for 2025. Last season he collected 60 strikeouts across 72.1 innings and posted a 4.48 ERA. He absolutely pounds the zone and does a great job of limiting the free stuff, only walking 19 batters across his 72.1 innings pitched. The Friday starter took home All-SoCon First Team honors in 2025 and will now bring his experience to the Jayhawks pitching staff. Carter checks in at #87 overall in our portal.

#8 Sean Smith | West Virginia

Sean Smith is a player I am stoked to watch this upcoming season. He’ll be transferring to West Virginia after two seasons with Georgia Southern. He began is college career at Mississippi Gulf Coast where he led the team with 10 home runs and 43 RBI, while playing in all 45 games as a freshman. Last season the outfielder had the second best batting average on the team (.352) and mashed 9 doubles, 9 home runs and 36 RBI. He was consistently one of the biggest bats in the Sunbelt last season. Sean will add a lot of power to an already loaded WVU lineup for 2026. He is ranked #92 amongst transfers in our portal.
